2012 is not even halfway through yet, but it has been an unbelievable year in progress for international DJ Markus Schulz. He has spent the past four consecutive years inside the top 10 bracket of the illustrious DJ Mag poll, and you can help that streak become five.

On the production front, Markus has continued his momentum from the Thoughts Become Things II project, created under his Dakota alias, yielding tracks such as Bolandish, Go! and his latest vocal smash with Adina Butar, entitled Caught. His next artist album, Scream, is set for release later this summer.

His gig schedule remains as busy as ever, which this year included the two Electric Daisy Carnival events in Las Vegas and New York City, two A State of Trance 550 events in Kiev and Den Bosch, Montreal’s Bal en Blanc, and a host of solo sets from Avalon in Los Angeles (celebrating the Los Angeles ’12 compilation) and his residency at London’s Ministry of Sound. He’s just begun another residency – at the world’s biggest club – Privilege in Ibiza all summer long.
