Hey everyone!
My name is Mike, I'm currently 22, and I live in Maryland, but I go to the club in Washington, DC.
I've been listening to EDM since 2001ish, but I simply love classics from the 90s. I started getting into Trance music around 2005 though and became deeply devoted about a year or two ago.
I've seen Markus Schulz live twice, the first time was in New York at Electric Zoo Festival and the second was here in DC at FUR just a week later. Both times were just incredible, making me even more sad that I missed him back in April due to being sick...
My current top 5 DJs are:
1. Markus Schulz
2. ATB
3. Above & Beyond
4. Armin van Buuren
5. Gareth Emery
That's it for now! See you all around.![]()
welcome to the forum Sivro!I have few relative living in Maryland btw :P
If you throw ATB out of the list..., you´re having a good taste :-)Originally Posted by Sivro

Hehe.... for some people here, Markus is No.1 and besides that, there is no No.2
I know...
But for me, all of them are producing well, except my german colleauge ATB aka Andreas Tannenberger. He was good, but commercial back in the 90s.., but now it´s kind of bull..... you know....
So, but I´m fine with it![]()
Ofcource I didnt meant to be rude to him![]()

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
And no, I don't think you were rude to me, as it's been said, everyone has their own tastes.
Meanwhile, I can understand the lack of interest in ATB. I sometimes wonder how I enjoy his music because it completely clashes with everything else that I listen to. However, he happened to be the first big DJ I ever really heard or pursued, not to mention the first DJ I saw live.
While I agree that he probably shouldn't be on my list and be compared to other Trance heavyweights, I have to admit that I've enjoyed nearly everything he's produced, and I have countless memories attached to them. When you add that and his dedication and open connection with his fans, I can't help but appreciate and hold the highest respect for him. Although I do enjoy his music, it's pure sentiment that holds him so high in my mind.
That's why I also really enjoy Markus. When I saw him here in DC and he stayed for a while to connect with everyone there, along with just recently catching his October video blog (the first I had seen), I was completely blown away with how much effort he makes to connect with his fans as well...And of course, I enjoy his music more than anyone else's!![]()
