Honestly, this time last week, I was preparing myself to tell you guys on here that the broadcast would not be happening.

Nope, that is the set in it's entirety. The nights at Amnesia never ever run beyond 6.5 hours, because of a new law being passed by officials out there regarding noise levels at certain times of the morning. And they also wait until the club fills up before the DJ goes on.

When they're doing their promotion, they also factor in the preparties for the night, which usually involves one of the DJs spnning for 1-1.5 hours. But this part of the set wasn't recorded.

Yeah that was absolute chaos. No such issues this year. Set is all merged together in one piece, and was uploaded on Friday. Won't bore you with how long / how many attempts it took to be successfully completed though. :P

Deliberately keeps the mood low - no vocals, no visuals, occasional gestures to the crowd.

You can't go flat out from the start otherwise the crowd just flakes out, gets tired and goes home. There are a lot of top DJs who make that very mistake.

Normally I'm super high energy for the entire extended set, (well I've been to I believe two 4 hour sets, one 5ish hour, and three 6+ hour sets, and a bunch of 1-3 hour sets too lol) but I had to sit by the bar for a little bit in Ibiza (I'm blaming it on the fact that I had been walking all over Europe everyday for a week & a half at that point HAHAHA) but I am ALWAYS impressed by the energy Markus has throughout the course of the night. Especially last extended set in Toronto in May, he was dancing like crazy and having so much fun at the end of the night it was sooooo fun omg. Hahaha
Markus sets are always fun I don't need to give reasons! LOL

ie...in nyc when he was doing his 6 hour sets (2007 2008 and 2009 we had extended sets) and he basically gave us 30 mins of proggy stuff...then banged the crap out of us for 5.5-6 hours...because he knows we can take it
