Hey Jennifer it’s great to be speaking with you! The world was excited to see your name on the Do You Dream track list, how was that to work with Markus and hear back a long awaited collaboration?

The pleasure is all mine!  Working with Markus has always been a dream of mine as I have been a fan of his for many years.  Seeing my name on his track list is another goal of I’m that I feel proud to have accomplished!  It’s such an honor to be a part of this project.

When we listen to your lyrics and your voice there is a lot of feeling and emotion, do you put a lot of time and thought into what you write? What is the creative process like for you?

Things I write are a very big emotional part of me. Sometimes it can feel scary sharing that with the world because it feels like you're sharing pages of your diary! Ideas for songs usually come to me when I hear a melody or instrumental that touches me. That's when I hear words. The music sets the mood for the track and then I just pull from personal experiences, the words.

What equipment do you live by? Is there anything you simply can't live without when it comes to music making?

My favorite parts of traveling are definitely making friends from all over the world. I also like checking in at the airport here in my hometown of Indianapolis. There's something about when I'm checking my bags and I get my ticket that says I'm traveling off to some far away land, it really makes me feel happy that I'm following my dreams! Although I'm very close with my family and I do miss them, I know I'm going home eventually. I would say what I get homesick for the most is my own bed!

A lot of other young women who want to DJ probably felt like their dreams could come true as well thanks to your accomplishments. How long did it take you to learn how to DJ?

Thank you! You have no idea how much that means to me. DJ'ing for me took a couple months to get used to. And to any ladies or men out there, I'm a firm believer in following your heart and your dreams. Don't listen or care what anyone else thinks or says. This is YOUR life and you can only live it once, dare to DREAM BIG!!!

What would you be doing if you weren't involved in music? Are there any secret hobbies or interests that you enjoy?

Oh geeez I am the biggest kid at heart. I absolutely LOVE cartoons. You put me in front of the television with cartoons on and you won't hear from me the rest of the day. I'm also back in school to get my bachelors in psychology and then my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. If I weren't involved in music I'd still want to be a physical therapist. I also really love NBA basketball. GO LAKERS!!!

When you first worked with Markus were you nervous or were you more than ready to make a collaboration happen?

Ya know I wrote "Not The Same" and when I listened to it I just heard Markus. So I sent it to him completely out of the blue. I was nervous that he wouldn't like it! I had hoped he would because Markus was someone that I always wanted to work with.
